Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's athletic talent was evident right from the day she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first attempt, Felix placed 2nd in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to win the 200 meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three of her races.
